Job Description
- Developing software using Windows Services and Web Services
- Development of current and new products
- Developing applications accessing SQL databases
- Contributing to the architecture of current and future products
- Involvement in the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Using secure communications and data encryption techniques throughout work undertaken, handling sensitive data
About You
You must meet all national requirements to be allowed to be employed in the UK
Knowledge and qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Engineering
- Proficiency in modern computer languages including C#, Visual Studio, SQL and .NET
- Proficiency in Windows services and Web services
- Proficiency in using MS Office
- Proficiency in using JavaScript is desirable
Experience and abilities
- Proven experience in working with distributed systems
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
- Experience with secure communications and data encryption techniques
- Experience in working with data security
- Experience of working in the NHS or healthcare industry with experience of working in a regulated environment is desirable
Skills and competencies
- Ability to plan, execute and document technical work and projects
- Excellent programming and problem-solving skills
- Track record of applying new technologies and learning new languages to solve problems
- Fluency in written and spoken business English
